Seoul, South Korea
Child and Youth Service Worker
Born a Korean, I was adopted by an American father and a Korean-turn-American mother. Then I was raised in Seoul, South Korea practically all my life, but I still had an American connection through the US military bases here. However, I was also bombarded with the Korean cultures and traditions, so I grew up with two different sensibilities fighting for dominance. I must say that the American one won, but I am also heavily influenced by the Korean mentality as well. I guess I am an Expat, and I’m proud of it.
When my mind is not being bombarded with the cultural clashes, I like to busy myself with a multitude of hobbies. Aside from wasting my time with Wikipedia or Bejewelled Blitz, I like to create and maintain websites, blog whenever inspirations hit, play the piano and conduct music by myself, immerse myself in video games, animes, mangas, or films, and write stories like a wanna-be Brit, since I prefer British spelling over American spelling.
Otherwise, I’m just me, and I’m happy as to who I am.
Age I was born in 1938. | New York, NY* (Longer description below my "Own Words")
My name card says, “writer/filmmaker.” So I must be that.
