Own Words

I was born and lived in California my whole life. Obviously, like many other Korean-Americans from Southern California, I resented the fact that I did not have a “cooler” geographic upbringing so for the most of my 20s (which I am still in) I spent a large amount of my time trying to differentiate myself by learning Italian and spending a few months in between Milano and Roma living la dolce vita. That being said, I am sometimes considered an ungrateful Korean-American and an even more ungrateful Korean but still receive copious amounts of love from my family, girlfriend, and friends.

But, that is not the case. I can cook an amazing Korean stew and have my feet well grounded in the “laws” and morals that my parents have handed down to me. I choose family time over girlfriend/friend time most of the time and I can do the New Years bow like none-other.

I am now proud to say that I currently reside in Studio City, CA. You can find me around Ventura Boulevard doing one of the following things:

– Playing Soccer
– Cooking
– Snapping Photos

I currently work as a Project/Marketing Manager for a boutique agency and hope to retire to a Hemingway-esque life by age 40.
