I am:
2nd Generation Korean American
Communication major at University of Washington
Part time worker at KO-AM TV and UW Extension Outreach
My ambition in life is to become an influential, high identity and empowered Asian American filmmaker. The time I spend here at UW is to continue to construct my identity and beliefs/ideals so that I can channel that into an art form through film. Although I still have a long way to go in terms of skills and identity, I welcome the challenges I face because it is a learning opportunity to build character become a better person.
These are goals I only formed these past couple years while in college. Coming into college I was trying to run away from my own Korean heritage and ethnicity. Growing up in a Korean church I was tired of everything that dealt with the ‘Korean-ess’. I firmly believe I was made Korean AND American for a reason and I intend to harness my identity and mold it into an art form.
I have a dream that one day ‘Subscript Studios’ will make an impact
