Own Words

Written on my giant Post-It note on my wall – the first thing I see when I wake up:

**Eddy’s life dedications**

1. Asian Pacific American issues/matters
2. Reclaim my Korean language! I forgot how to say happy birthday to my grandma! Bad Eddy!
3, Strive for more realistic interpretations in media representation through theatre & film
4. With that said, stick with theatre & film always even if family members tell me I’m crazy and I should get a proper job
5. Make plans to get out of Williamsburg and move to L.A.! ASAP!
6. Write spoken poetry more to get some thoughts out of my busy head
7. Freestyle more often!
8. Spend more time with my guitar..she keeps collecting dust :(
9. Deconstruct systematic racism in America!! HELL YEAH.
10. Remember these important words from your spiritual twin brother, Mo T:

“matter of fact: breaths, steps – take them, and make them meaningful. make a choice, and stand by it. then run with it. what choices are you going to make today to be the person you want to be? when everything seems to be falling apart, the unpredictable power of one choice can remind us of our ability to control our lives. i was inspired this morning by things i couldn’t imagine. and it all started with one choice.”

11. Live, love, understand, and appreciate the world and the people around you.
