Fulltime overworked grad student and soon to be acupunturist
How I got here:
I was born in Korea, I guess somewhere close to the DMZ. I’m not so sure of the entire history. I was brought over here by my wonderful adopted parents when I was only three months old. Two years later they liked me so much they decided that they would go and get my sister as well.
Most of my life I have grown up being one of the only Asian kid that I knew, and many time even forgot that I was Korean till I actually looked In the mirror. I still have friends that don’t believe I’m Asian since sometimes I pic up a southern drawl. (I pick up other accents very easily.)
At the moment:
I am in the process of fulfilling my dream to open my own acupuncture clinic. I hopefully will be graduating soon and getting licensed soon after.
The past ten years have been a journey full of ups and downs, mostly revolving around my being a college student for those ten years.
I hope to always learn and fill my brain with new things and most likely will be a lifetime student whether it is in the classroom or the world itself.
I love to travel the world and dive head on into learning about other cultures by immersing myself within them. Twice I have backpacked around Europe and have done two exchange programs, one to France, and the other to Japan.
I love to be outdoors when i can on the days that permit me to. On those other days, I enjoy curling up with a good book, or watching a good Sci-Fi Movie or knitting something pretty for a friend to wear
I still feel as if I am still working on finding myself and where I belong on this big old planet. I know that I still have time to find a good spot.
The most important thing I think that I have learned to date, is that patience and hard work is the key. Things come to those who work their ass off but are able to wait for the outcome. I am the prime example. 10 years for a degree…I know my parents are saying…”Finally”
