5′9, 170, graduated from UCI, attended Sarang Korean mega church in Southern California. I have been practically surrounded by english speaking Koreans. Wanted to experience something different outside of my Orange County Korean bubble so I decided to join the military.
Having experienced a different culture in the Army and gone to combat in Iraq and soon to be going to Afghanistan. Through this experience I have come to appreciate Korean people, food, and culture, I do miss it.
As a Korean soldier I do raise awareness about our culture to our fellow Americans. Most of them think I am a North Korean Communist because I do have alot of tree hugging California views, but they still love me for being the one and only Korean in our company/squadron. I am the butt of all the asian jokes, but I enjoy it.
Sometimes I wonder what life would be like as a black man? or North Korean?
Hell Im just a curious and adventuresome person, my friends think I am goofy. That is probably why I am in the Army. I was curious how war would be like. Well I am now a veteran and living the legend.
