I know why the caged bird sings.
I always knew that music would be a huge part of my life but didn’t know that I’d have to be an accountant to support myself to be a musician. Such is life.
I spend my time thinking about how to live purposefully and love the people around me. I like going beyond the surface and finding out what motivates people to wake up in the morning. I gravitate towards the broken and authentic – in the form of books, music, movies, people… pretty much anything. I write songs to express my tainted experience of the world. I sing in hopes that I will one day fly. I put my faith in redemption through Jesus Christ.
In the meantime, I sit in my cage of corporate america wondering about what it really means to live.
