Not gonna lie, I need more than “your own words.”
I’m pretty normal.
I have average math and writing skills.
I have average musical skills.
I have below average athletic ability.
I have slightly above average karaoke ability though…
I’m awesome at doing nothing.
I’m pretty good at eating. You can tell by the tire I have around my waist.
I also have a knack for rooting for the the worst/overrated teams in sports. (Ohio State, Cleveland Indians/Browns/Cavaliers)
If you didn’t pick up on it, I’m from Cleveland, Ohio. Or rather, I grew up there. I was born in Korea though.
I know. Why Cleveland? If I knew the real answer I’d type it in here, but your guess is as good as mine. We eventually moved to Fairfax, Virginia during my college years. That place is FULL of Koreans and other Asians.
There are many questions I’d like answered, besides why we moved to Cleveland. I’d like to ask my parents, and the travel agent they used to write my name in English when we moved, why my name was spelled Min SUCK Chang.
Was “suck” not a word that had negative connotation in the 80s? My passport, still to this day, says “Min Suck Chang.”
I know, I know, it says my name is Adam. My cousin gave that name to me when we moved to ‘merica. It’s stuck with me since I was a baby. Even my Grandmother calls me Adam. Legally I’m *sigh* Min Suck, but socially I’m Adam.
I could change my name, but it almost feels wrong to even think about changing it…it being my birth name and all…
So besides the spelling of my name, I’m pretty average.
I’m proud of who I am and where I’m from.
