Professional Skier
I was born in South Korea and adopted by two ski instructors from Vail, Colorado. I began skiing at 4 and found a home in freestyle at 13.
I achieved my goal of making the US Ski Team at 19, where I quickly climbed the ranks. I had early and much success on the World Cup circuit, narrowly missing the 2002 Olympic Team. I rededicated myself to my sport and became even more intense after the disappointment of 2002. In 2005 I won the World Championship in dual moguls, which set me up nicely for the 2006 World Cup and Olympic season. On Friday, January 13 2006, I won in Deer Valley and was named to the Olympic Team. On February 15, 2006, I won my medal which started a deluge of people from Korea claiming I was their relative. In August of 2006, I retired from skiing.
I was reunited with my birth father and brother in Seoul, Korea February 28, 2007. Since then I have visited my Biologic family several times in Busan where I was born.
Age I was born in 1938. | New York, NY* (Longer description below my "Own Words")
My name card says, “writer/filmmaker.” So I must be that.
