Description

Students for Autism (SFA) was founded in August 2010 by Julie Lee, a high school student and sister of an autistic child. After leaving home for boarding school, she noticed the widening gap in her relationship with her sister, which led her to realize how little she knew about her sister’s disorder. Compelled to raise autism awareness, Lee started Students for Autism. Through her guidance, the organization is beginning to complete projects to help those affected by autism.

The goals of Students for Autism are:
• to inform people, especially students,
about Autism Spectrum Disorders
• to promote activism and volunteerism
• to raise funds for autism research and Special Education by selling greeting cards that feature authentic student artwork

All proceeds support autism research and Special Education programs.
