Own Words

I am a Senior Film Student at the Rhode Island School of Design currently working on my year-long Degree Thesis Project. Stories have an amazing power that enables people to understand one another without the barrier of language and time. Many great narratives were able to journey and transcend from its origins to become its own entity, in which many people could connect with. For that reason, as an artist, I strive to make stories that can be universally understood through an emotional level. Coming from a background where language has always been an obstacle, I feel that often times, body language and emotional signals are far more telling than words. This type of empathetic approach is something that I actively do with a narrative’s characters, and also when I work with the people around me.
