Personal Trainer/Fitness Model
Hey everyone! Man it makes my day to see such a strong group of half-Koreans! Little bit about me, I was born at Kunsan AFB. As the story goes for most of us, my father is American, and my mother is Korean. Growing up my mother was sure to ensure that I understand the importance and pride of being Korean. Being raised in an Americanized society, she would never hesitate to remind me that I am half-Korean. I love it when she says “Remember Josep you have the Korean blood in you.” Ye Oma! I would respond lol
One of my best friends that I met in college is half-Korean. Luckily his mother lives in the same town just in case we suffer from Kimchi withdrawals. I feel that us halves have a sixth sense in telling that someone is half-Korean. 99% of the time an instant friendship and camaraderie is created. I graduated college back in 2008 in Rehabilitation Sciences. I am currently a personal trainer and also pursuing a fitness modeling career. In about a year I’m looking to obtain my master’s in either exercise science, sports nutrition, or occupational therapy. Really haven’t placed my finger on what I want to do for the rest of my life. As of now, I love what I do. I am preparing for the Muscle and Fitness model search out in Las Vegas this September. Enjoy life to the fullest, you only live once. And be sure to pursue what you are truly passionate about. Love ya half-Koreans
