I grew up south of Boston in a beach town. I was adopted when I was 4.5 years old. I played violin before I even spoke English. I took every opportunity that I had to learn about Korea- food, culture and language.
I love to sing. I remember, in college, laying on the grass by my dorm and singing to the stars every night. I spent a lot of moments writing, blogging, journaling my feelings around my adoption.
When I had my daughter, I felt as if I went through a miraculous transformation. I saw my burdens in life become lighter and bare more purpose. I became the woman I wanted to become for my special child. My daughter healed me and has helped me become a stronger person.
The older I got, the more secure I felt in my own skin. I was able to reunite with my biological family. I introduced my daughter to her grandmother. I’ve been truly blessed with a life that turned out imperfectly beautiful.
God Bless!
