What does your company do?

Amongst other things, AB Corporations is a web design company. In addition to web designs, we work with our clients to improve their online reputation and establish a positive social network presence. We provide custom designed Twitter backgrounds, YouTube backgrounds, Facebook pages, you name it.

When and how did your company start?

AB Corporations is a relatively new company, having been founded in the summer of 2011. I initially found this company to help carry the load off of my father’s shoulders. He needed a couple of websites for his restaurants, and I realized web designing companies were asking for prices between $1,000-$2,000, which was too overpriced. I began to design simplistic, yet elegant websites, and web designing soon became my hobby. I spent the rest of the summer preparing my business and soon enough, I became a C.E.O, at the young age of 16.

What's been one of the hardest challenges in running a business?

Inevitably, the fact that I am 16 has been a consistent challenge for my business. Most clients do not trust their business in the hands of a teenager; however, in the past, I have defied society’s initial perceptions of an unable teenager. Another huge obstacle was my Korean-American background. Having been raised abroad in the states, my Korean wasn’t up to par and it is still a continuous challenge I am facing today.
